Lynecia Bogue of Ellis, left, and Kellie Lee of Hays, display the coffin
they prepared for the Malloween festivities at The Mall in Hays, which also
took place Oct. 27.  Lynecia, president of the FHSU chapter of Habitat for
Humanity, and Kellie, vice president, made money for the chapter by taking
children's photos as part of the pre-Halloween fun day at the mall.

Kellie Lee, vice president of the FHSU Habitat for Humanity chapter, shows
off the decorative mirror that she bought for Habitat's first family in
Ellis County, Nan and Jason Brown of Ellis and their three children.
Kellie and Lynecia Bgoue, right, student chapter president, are both
interior design majors and are helping Nan with interior accents for the
Browns' home.

Students divided into teams of three, with each team tackling one room.
This team is installing insulation in one of the children's bedrooms.

The two-by-fours of the Browns' new home in Ellis contain scriptures that
reflect Habitat for Humanity's commitment to Christian principles.  Habitat
for Humanity is a not-for-profit international Christian organization which
builds decent, affordable housing for those in need.  Habitat is not a
give-away program.  Each family selected must contribute "sweat equity"
hours in building their own home.  Jason Brown, who has contributed more
than 800 sweat equity hours, is present at the build site most weekends.

Shannon O'Shea of Blaine, on ladder, and Abby Schneweis of Hays hang
insulation.
